Boston, MA – Wednesday, November 18, 2015 — The Boston Music Awards celebrate the city’s finest musicians over two nights at The Sinclair on December 9th and 10th. The new format, along with new award categories – including the very special Hall Of Fame Award – are the first strategic changes by new owners.

New Ownership:

The Boston Music Awards are proud to announce a new ownership and management team. This past month, the Boston Music Awards brand and entity was purchased from previous owner, Chip Rives, by Jake Brennan of THUNDERS & WATT and Paul Armstrong of REDEFINED.

New Format:

The Boston Music Awards’ new owners are expanding the event to two nights this year. The goal of this expansion is to devote the first night to fully celebrating this year’s nominees, while the second night breathes new life into the “Hall of Fame” award by paying tribute to the 2015 inductee, Evan Dando of The Lemonheads. Honoring the Boston legend with a partial tribute set are the 2015 nominees, These Wild Plains, in addition to other special guests. On the same night, and on the other end of the spectrum, the Boston Music Awards also look to the future, with the New Artist Of The Year Winners opening up the celebrations.
