Press: Local acts liven up Lawn on D

Original Story Here:

Several of Boston’s leading bands provided a raucous soundtrack Thursday night as hundreds mingled on the grassy confines of the Lawn on D for the Sound of Our Town 2 concert. Presented by the Boston Music Awards and curated by the music site Vanyaland, the free festival put a spotlight on the city’s diverse local music scene, from soulful pop tunesmith Will Dailey and thought-provoking MC Moe Pope to R&B firebrand Ruby Rose Fox and dance-pop party band Bearstronaut, among others. On a smaller second stage, drummer Mikey Holland anchored American Denim, a supergroup of sorts that included members of local groups such as Hallelujah the Hills.
