Boston rapper Avenue has an unstoppable flow, owns every track he appears on, and within his lyrics unyielding real life truths about growing up in Roxbury are brought to light. His records sound crisp with tight production value and no lack of originality in his verses, and his 2017 release "Mass Ave and Lenox" was a breath of fresh air for old school hip hop fans who shudder at the sound of most of today's rappers. His slang, lyrics, beats and flow all point to one thing - Avenue is the modern day Big L that the hip hop scene has been waiting for.
